Rajratan Global Wire Ltd’s New Plant in Tamilnadu ( Chennai - Oragadam )

Rajratan Global Wire Ltd is making a significant expansion of its operations by setting up a new plant in Chennai. The company plans to double the capacity at this greenfield plant and use it as an export hub. An investment of Rs 300 crore is being made to build this new factory in Oragadam Vallam SIPCOT, which will employee around 300 people. The plant will have a capacity of 60,000 tonnes per annum, which the company plans to achieve in a single phase.

The plant is expected to start operations in 18 months and will take another two years to ramp up to peak capacity. Once the company reaches the level of utilizing 70%-80% capacity, it plans for another 60,000 tonnes per annum line in Chennai. The Chennai factory will be primarily export-oriented because of its proximity to a port. Around 50%-60% of the production in the Chennai factory will be exported.

The company already exports to South East Asian countries like Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam and in small quantities to Europe. Once the Chennai capacity is available, the company will target Europe and the US as big markets. This new plant in Chennai represents a significant step for Rajratan Global Wire Ltd in expanding its operations and reaching new markets.

Conclusion

The Q3'FY24 earnings release of Rajratan Global Wire Ltd shows a promising growth in net sales and a stable operational efficiency as indicated by the EBITDA. However, the slight decrease in EBITDA and PAT margins suggests that the company might need to focus on controlling its costs to improve its profitability. The increase in EPS is a positive sign for the shareholders. Overall, the company seems to be on a growth trajectory, but it needs to keep an eye on its margins.
