Background: Rs.450 Cooking Gas Cylinder Supply Announcement by Amit Shah

The announcement of cooking gas cylinders at Rs.450 is a political move by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India. The announcement was made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his election campaign in Madhya Pradesh, which is scheduled to go to the polls on November 17, 2023.

The BJP is trying to woo voters in Madhya Pradesh by promising to provide cooking gas cylinders at a subsidized price. The current price of a 14.2 kg cooking gas cylinder in Madhya Pradesh is Rs.500. If the BJP is elected to power, it will provide cooking gas cylinders at Rs.450 per cylinder.

The BJP's announcement has been criticized by the opposition Congress party. Congress leaders have accused the BJP of making false promises in order to win the election. They have also pointed out that the BJP has been in power in Madhya Pradesh for the past 15 years, and yet it has failed to control the prices of cooking gas.

It remains to be seen whether the BJP's announcement will have a significant impact on the outcome of the Madhya Pradesh elections. However, it is clear that the BJP is willing to make big promises in order to win votes.
