Jio-bp, the fuel retailing joint venture of Reliance Industries Ltd and UK's bp Plc, has recently launched a new premium diesel that is enriched with ACTIVE technology. This additive-laced diesel is designed to work across a range of commercial vehicles and offers improved mileage and savings to drivers and fleet owners.

What is ACTIVE Technology?

ACTIVE technology is a proprietary formulation of additives that helps reduce the risk of unscheduled maintenance caused by dirt buildup in critical engine parts. It also removes existing dirt and protects against its build-up with ongoing use. According to jio-bp, this technology can help restore and maintain the power of the engine, reduce emissions, and enhance the performance and reliability of the vehicle.

How Much Can You Save with Jio-bp Premium Diesel?

Jio-bp claims that its premium diesel can yield annual savings of up to Rs 1.1 lakh per vehicle to truckers owing to up to 4.3 percent improved fuel economy. This means that for every 100 liters of fuel consumed, jio-bp premium diesel can save up to 4.3 litres compared to normal or additive-free diesel sold by public sector (PSU) competition.

How Much Does Jio-bp Premium Diesel Cost?

The best part about jio-bp premium diesel is that it is priced at rates lower than normal diesel sold by PSUs. For example, the new diesel is being sold at the jio-bp outlet in Navi Mumbai for Rs 91.30 per litre, while the normal diesel at PSU petrol pumps in the area cost Rs 92.28 a litre. This means that jio-bp premium diesel not only offers better mileage and savings, but also costs less than regular diesel.
