BHEL Q1 Results: Net Loss Widens, Revenue Rises Introduction Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), India’s largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in the energy and infrastructure sector, announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2023. The company reported a net loss of 3.52 billion rupees, compared to a loss of 1.92 billion rupees in the same quarter last year. The loss was mainly due to lower execution and higher fixed costs amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the company’s revenue rose by 7.1% year-on-year to 50.03 billion rupees, driven by higher sales from the power segment. The revenue was also higher than the analysts’ estimates of 47.8 billion rupees.
