Skipper Ltd bags a mega order worth 1135 CR for a new transmission line project

Skipper Ltd, India’s largest Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) structure manufacturer and the fastest growing Polymer Pipe brand, has announced that it has received a huge order worth 1135 CR from domestic and international markets for the construction of a new transmission line project.

The order is for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 800kV HVDC Raigarh- Pugalur Transmission Line, Part- IX, which is a critical infrastructure project for the country’s power sector. The project will connect the power generation hub in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh with the load center in Pugalur, Tamil Nadu, and enable the transfer of 6000 MW of electricity across a distance of about 1800 km.

Skipper Ltd has a proven track record of executing such complex and challenging projects in India and abroad, with its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, skilled workforce, and quality standards. The company has a manufacturing capacity of over 2.5 lakh MT per annum for T&D structures and over 50,000 MT per annum for Polymer Pipes and Fittings. The company also has a strong presence in the EPC segment, with projects spanning across Power T&D, Railway Electrification, Smart City, and Solar sectors.

The order is expected to boost the company’s revenue and profitability in the coming years, as well as enhance its brand value and market share. Skipper Ltd has a market cap of 1478 CR and reported a revenue of 1980 CR for FY23.
